It is very unlikey that you have a US runner system on a euro. the fittings on the runners are slightly different as well as some on the plennum itself. you have to look at the cold start system too.
anyway, the runners are probably euro. if you pulled one off, the diameter will be 1.6" vs the US Ljet of 1.5". that is substantial, though it doesnt seem like much. the throttle body will be HUGE compared to the US version and if its a US throttle body, it is very narrow at the base. (you can see it if you can post a picture around the TB and plennum rubber attachments)
the plennum has a HUGE opening in the euro, and if that is US, then it has to pintch way way down to mate to the US throttle body, just as folks with euro throttle bodies had to get that rubber ring to pinch way way down to meet a US plennuim. it looks reallly funky when you see those mix matched parts.

post a picture of the TB area. both sides. microswitch should be on the passenger side of the TB. the US doesnt have this and has the mechanical two microswitches that hang off on a metal arm assembly with wires connecting with spades. this is a part that comes off, so if you dont have it, you are using the euro TB and its microswitch. also, there are vent lines from the plennum that are quite different than the US. a few pictures will rest your questions.

you probably have the euro 310hp version and everything is fine. why do you think you have a smaller throttle body? the diameters of the throttle body is 3.5" at the opening and 3.3" at the throttle plate.PLUS, the "U" if, used with a US throttle body would have a Huge lip on it, narrowing down the near 3.5" opening that it normally mates with to the euro throttle body. of course you have the euro "U" as that is the ONLY way the MAF could possibly mount . the US configuration there is totally different and would never work.

They probably felt that the smaller diameter would not have a big enough impact in performance to merit designing new tubes for these last couple of years of 16V production. And based on the published performace numbers, looks like they would have been right. It is possible that there could have been a 'using up stock' factor too, but then that might be the reason why they stuck with 16V motors for these years when the US cars were already 32V. Or perhaps it was just because the US 32V motors were still not making as much HP as the euro 16V cars.
no, the euro intake runners look the same as LJET, but are not. they are much larger. 1.6" vs 1.5" in inner diameter

thats a euro plennum. it has a 3.5" diameter across it. If it was US, it would be 2.7" ish.

Default T/B

Well you have convinced me , and the t/b does have the switch on right hand side, as i said learning and how else to find out in such a convincing way and from a person i would not question. Anyway seems small as compared to carbs i am used to. Much to learn, a bunch of good teachers here, well i guess! Oh ran into Carl's larger plennum now that is nice may try to make one similiar,if time permits. thank you Mark, good info. Ray
