Yes. Though I'm pretty sure I removed the dishes before I ran the dishwasher.
If I learned anything from GB, it's that you need to be obsessive about clean during engine assembly. Kitchen's the cleanest room in the house, so any sensitive work that we didn't do in Greg's engine room got done in the kitchen. My garage is full of glass beads from all the blasting I've done.....
Here are some more, I liked how the distributor leaked oil on the counter top. Hood in hallway, now its time to bring the wheels in the living room for polishing. Got most things removed from engine, need to get the cherry picker before I undo the motor mounts and torque tube.
Ok, Im back, cherry picker in place engine mounts disconnected from block, front torque tube bolts removed, pinch bolt loosened. engine wont let loose. tried to disconnect bolts from the what would be bell housing, removed flex plate bolts, still tight. tried prying. any suggestions? Bill.

When I removed mine the big dowels in the bell housing were holding it in place. Maybe try prying the engine forward (with the cherry picker providing a bit of upward tension) to get the bell housing free.It should pop loose then. Gunar
It was the dowels that go in some of those big holes you see at the rim of the bell housing. Same problem when installing. On install you are all good once they are lined up and in.
If you have the bolts out you have won a big battle!
Took me better part of an afternoon to finally get mine out. Did not really have an issue with the dowels sticking.
