Default 90 race car 5 spd Won't start

Guys Help please
I mentioned this in another thread but decided to start a new thread for this problem.

Car started then died. I replaced Crank Position sensor car started ran for 1/2 an hour or so then died again after I started wiggiling and giggling wires to make sure I had good conections.

Inspection of the wires comming from the Ezk going to the Cps plug found cracked damaged and previously repaired wires. The damage has now been repaired and I have continuity from the sensor plug all the way back to the EZK plug but car still wont fire.

My next step is to pull the EZK from the 90 race car and install it in the 87 street car to see if it is working properly. Both cars are 5spds.

Just wondering is there any danger in doing this.

Thanks
Sean

I take it you have already ruled out the fuel pump relay?

Car has fuel pressure and spark.
Tried the The EZK from the non running car in the running car and it works so ezk works fine.

So next step is to check all the wires from one end to another for continuity. But where to start.
What else will stop the injectors from firing ? MAF plug Throttle position switch?

go to 928gt.com page 2 under tips and links print off a fuse relay chart,
there you will find that 4 relays will effect running of the car , replace all 4,
one at a time they are 53 relays about 8.00 a piece,
alternatively you can swap out one at a time the horn relay for each of these,

Now I don't have fuel pressure but did before. WTF! Fuel pump fuse is good and replace fuel pump relay with good one from running car still no fuel pressure. I will R& R the rest of the relays.

Make sure my wife isnt sitting in the pass seat with her feet on the CE cover.

That kills my car.

IE: Im 99.99% sure I have a very old and flaky relay..just havent gotten to the CE panel yet in this winters fixing up schedule.

Probably a non issue with you, but did you remove the ground strap before messing with CE panel and relays? Notice any ESD while working on any of this?
Check the ground strap for corrosion and clean ground points. My car was fine. then nothing.

yes check the ground strap. it also looks like you may have part of your problem, the CE panel I would drop it down and inspect the back of it for melted wires or corroded connectors

Will check the main battery ground. This is a race car so doesn't have the stock ground strap but I will check to make sure I have a good connection from the battery ground to the chassis.

I'm pretty sure I have narrowed the problem doun to a broken wire in the wiring harnes. The car was running until I started wiggiling and giggiling wires in the vicinity where the MAF, Crank position sensor, and throttle switch leads all enter the main harness.

What I need now is a pin out for the wiring harnes plan to go through and check all the wires for continuity. Unless some one can suggest something else to check.
