are the 87 & 89 S4 harnesses compatible?
I know Carl makes new harnesses for older 928's Does he make them for S4's? If so that might be a great idea.....

You could check the resistance of the injectors at the LH...there only is 1 lead that powers them..its pin 18.....the injectors are fairly high resistance around 14 ohm or so....but if the resistance is way high...you may have found it right there!!!

OK after 8hrs of plowing and snow blowing yesterday back at it today.
Installed jumpers between 30 & 87 in the Fuel pump (XX), EZK(XVI), and LH(XXV) relay sockets.
Fuel pump runs but still no spark hence no joy.

could you have swapped the rear knock sensor for the CPS sensor connector?

Hey Sean, Looks like we are neighbors.
The reason I bought the Tec-4 kit is to try and avoid this type of old wire and ECM problem.
Its not installed yet so I can't offer any info.
Looks like you have the best guys out there offering you there help so you will figure it out, I'm still learning.
Just thought I would point you to a possible solution for down the road.

and Knock sensor pulug into lead comming from passenger side injector harness.
Just found something interesting. I have 950 ohms resistance between EZK pin #6 and pin 24 which means between the CPS sender - and the CPS sender shield. Shouldn't the resistance be between sender + and sender- I may have put the female back together wrong after I had it apart to check the connections.
