Make your mind up if you want to go to Alcoa or not, there will be atl least 2 groups leaving Atlanta, one on Thursday to run the dragon/ then the parkway from Alcoa on Friday, and one on Friday to head straight to SITM.

If you leave early enough, you can make Alcoa by dinner time. It's a long drive for you guys, but it rewarded with one of the best dives East of the Mississippi.

One thing you should know... we don't slow down so you can keep up. (inside joke)

It is worth the trip to Alcoa, even if you do not try to keep up with "Team Kamikaze"

Room booked. Anyone got a room map of the hotel? I can't find one on the web.

We're staying through the 10th this time so we can check out some of the other local non 928 stuff!!

Have you started your physical therapy yet to get that atrophied clutch leg up to snuff for the drive? I believe there are 5,928 shifts between Alcoa and Banner Elk. Would hate to see you pull out due to exhaustion!

For those folks that have never, ever, read the owners manual, you can chose 5th at speeds as low as 25, I doubt I will have to put any undue wear on my clutch for that drive.

If you can make it to the top of some of those hills in only 5th... let's say Beech Mtn. I'll buy all your beer for the weekend.

That might be a bit of a problem.

You know I am going to have to try it though.

BTW, what is the hotel in Alcoa?
