It is early in the year and the lowest overall serial number. Unfortunately Porsche does not build the ROW cars sequentially with the US spec cars so there is no easy way to determine the build sequence.
The first XX8 ROW GT was 579 so I'm reasonably sure that mine is the first GT, but that 191 XX8 S4 could have easily been built before mine (182).
The first ROW XX8 S4/Germany was WP0ZZZ92ZMS800191, produced September 7th 1990.
The first ROW XX8 GT/Germany was WP0ZZZ92ZMS800579, produced November 27th 1990.
So I am patiently waiting for the COA on my 928 S4 Exclusive and PCNA says there has been a delay due to a lack of information requiring contact with Germany
Funny, that Amethyst GT in the photos is the first 928 I ever drove - and considered buying, back in 2007. Felt very tight and the steering wheel is the nicest I've ever had my hands on. Didn't buy it in the end for a couple of reasons: Just couldn't live with the Magenta leather, and it had some rust around the fuel filler. Believe it's an '89, but not sure anymore. Looked up the license; it's a '90. Seller mentioned a huge bill to do the GTS fender conversion, which gave me the impression it wasn't done at the time of production - and didn't know at the time that it was an option at all. Whether it was done by Porsche at a later time, I can't say. Had I known it was potentially a very rare factory option, I would probably have jumped on it, despite my reservations
Edit: Its VIN # are among those listed, so seems it was in fact a factory option.

Just adding to this thread as I have my 1991 928 S4 Factory Widebody up for auction on BaT right now. The listing ends Thursday, September 10. Please see the link below.
Nicole, do you know who the original rootwood manufacturer was? The original center console pieces are beautiful (steam?) bent multi-plywood, I can imagine there must have been a lot of variation in the final shape.
When you're ready Rob I have the unobtanium factory head unit to go with these pieces.
Yes, I saw that it did sell. My contact sent me some HD pics and it looks like it needs a lot of interior work to get it back to top stock condition. Lots of Interior cracking and aftermarket work such as shifter, steering wheel, dash alterations and extra wood grain pieces. Also need to source those hard to find D90’s in proper 928 sizes. Rare colour and looks like a fun project!
