The hard vacum line to the front FPR was pinched UNDER the bottom throttle quadrant bolt to the manifold...

1-Electrical tape holding a broken Spark Plug end together. Of course this crumpled into 100 pieces when I changed the Plugs the first time..
2-Cam Belt Tensioner missing locking bolt.
3-wedged shaped piece of wood holding battery in place.
4-More electrical tape used as a grommet for the brake booster vacuum line connection.
5- 7 out of 10 of the Pipe Organ intake rubber sleeves 'repaired' with electrical tape, which has dried and turned to hard plastic due to the heat and time under the hood (not fun!)
[this is just what I have found so far not even had the chance to drop the trans or torque tube yet..]
[oh dont let me get started I could really keep going on and on and on]

Several half smoked, home rolled, cigarette looking things stashed under the seats, e-brake, side console's etc. I have looked everwhere you could hide such items but still will never drive across the border just in case there is more.

Intake trumpets replaced by 2 aluminum dryer tube. All collapsed.
1 vacuum rubber line replaced by 3 line of different size, color and shape and duct taped.
Bypassed done on the fuel pump switch. Pump works all the time even if the engine doesn't turn. Bad for safety... But most likely part of the installation of the worst anti-thief system I ever saw.

Finally starting work on my red '87 the last couple of nights after the kids have gone to bed.
I found the reason for my jammed passenger side door lock - a 1 inch section off the end of a household front door key broken off inside the lock.
Also discovered the odd 3-position switch on the driver's side parcel tray was wired into the HVAC manifold for the heater valve solenoid.. still need to cut it out and solder the wires back to stock. Ugh. My guess is someone was trying to bypass solenoid control to compensate for a comb flap leak (which there is - thankfully an easy replacement as I've done it twice before on my other cars).

I think the worst on mine was the hack job under the drivers seat.
some one, with no small amount of knowledge had removed the memory computer and swapped some wires around, cut and spliced many others.
I just never expect the body harness ends to be taken apart and the wire positions moved around.
It had the usual PO radio, alarm, and half fixes done.
My corvette was a drug poster child, I learned after that one to always take any used car interior all the way down, man there was a lot of dope in that car, from Coke, to smoke to pills.
