The first on on that list looks to be a great deal @ $12,900

The last one is in my area, the seller bought it on craiglist for $8k? and is flipping it. The seller is a good guy who I have met. I don't know anything else about the car except that the p.o. did not come out to any 928 events in our area...

The second one on the list I was interested in. It has been for sale off and on for a while but needs some maintence that was not up to date. The price is on the high side in my opinion for the work needed. I haven't talked to the guy since spring but I doubt he has put any money into in the mean time.

Thanks for the comments on the Autotrader cars.I called several days ago on the 91 GT. O has owned 14 years and a Dr. before him. Recent $4,000 reseal. Drives daily 5miles to work except in snow. Right front fender and suspension hit curb 10 years ago and repaired by dealer. Has all books and records. Aftermarket radio, later wheels and some kind of phone holder added by PO. Has been offered 20k and not interested. Has had on the market 1 year.I should call on the 12,900 car. The Beverly Hills car is out of my price range. A GTS at that # would be inviting wouldn't it. Which car is Carl's? Thanks.

From the records he provided me the timing belt was 6 years old and it was due for an intake refresh.

That is 4-5 grand right there for both if it needs much.

Waiting for Ryan P to tell me he can do it for 400$

You are way ahead of me, Thanks. I asked about the intake and he didn't know and he made a point to say he had done the maintenance that was age related like the belts. I guess there is a price that makes this work but getting the Seller to agree- well we will see. I think I like black better anyway and maybe originality is overblown after seeing the cars on this site. WOW!

Others will not agree with me on this, but i would much rather have a car that I KNEW that the timing belt and any other repairs were done to the best that they can be on a 20 year old car.

Just because some one says the timing belt was just changed, does not mean that it does not need to be closely looked over or that it will last 5,000 miles.

Same thing goes for a intake service, I have seen folks use heater hoses in place of real parts that are going to collapse under vacuum and fall apart even quicker than the stock stuff when oil gets in them.

Yes, I will make money on the repairs, but at least we will both know they were actually done right.

I really think you need to find a car that looks good, has good paint and a nice interior and let me do the mechanicals on it.

Just my take on some of these cars.

It's actually a 91 and it's the same one we are talking about and the same one I was interested and asking about in March of this year.

I appreciate the sound advice on this one from last time.
I was wondering if it was still around, he emailed me in the summer but we are not on the same page when it comes to the price.
