Greg thanks i was wondering about the solution for the M5 that you fixed, sorry for not being more specific.

RFJ if I ask a question about a post its usually for the benefit of a less experienced owner or lurker, they may find a post and not have a solid grasp of the info provided
I am glad you could understand what Greg had written, I didnt fully understand his post either

Greg's post made sense to me, then again I've seen a 5-series with the same problem so my mind was probably filling in the blanks.

As far as the topic goes, I do hate it when my dipstick pops out unexpectedly.......

Sorry Mrmerlin did not mean to step on any toes just made sense as cents had no meaning there, i Will watct myself in the future. and i do not know that much about 928s yet, working on it(mostly thru reading this forum thanks to many ,including you). Thanks , Ray

It really was the damndest thing, I still have no idea of why the new parts fixed the car, but it did.

all the hoses looked good, the two oil separators looked and sounded good, perfect in fact, yet the new parts fixed it.

We had the old parts off twice before.

So, On the earlier 928s isnt there some kind of internal PVC valve on one of the hoses to the intake??
I wonder if this part may be plugged
