the dip stick has come out on interstate a few times and oil getting all over the place, i ordered a new dip stick but that did not help, timing checked out ok, about 125000 miles on car if correct? have owned for 5 years, could there be a base pressure build up at hiway speeds that does not happen on normal city driving, never seems to happen under 60 mph, will be doing a compression test on it next, and what type of spark plug do most all prefer

We had a M5 in the shop that kept blowing oil out the filler cap, we replaced the filler cap, inspected and cleaned all the hoses and traps on the vent system, came back again.
This car would only do this maybe once every third month, right after a oil change, but it would blow 5-6 qts out when it did.
We again inspected the cent system and cleaned it, it looked perfect, did it again.
Long story short, we ended up replacing all of that system and it has not done it again.

Yes, excessive crank case pressure will do all sorts of odd things. The cheapest and less troublesom is blowing out the dipstick. I had a 928 blow out the front main crank seal once becasue of this.
That was a major PITA

other than that, any time one starts blowing things out of the motor like a dipstick, the first place i am going to look is at the crankcase vent system.
The story about the M5 was to show that sometimes things can look good and still cause problems, like it did on that M5, still not sure what was defective on it, but something was.
That is a real bitch to do on a M5, you have to take the upper intake off, and it has ITB's.
Sorry for the confusion due to my lack of keyboard skills,

If it was excessive blowby, then there should be other issues, like oil consumption and blue smoke, most times.

When I put the blower on my corvette I wondered why they had the pvc system ran like they did, I called and asked Procharger and they said all was well, that is the way it is designed.
The first time it hit boost, (12 psi) it blew almost every seal on the engine out.
so much for following instructions, the way they had it ran boost pressure into the crankcase.

Other than I can not type when it is cold, it should have read vent system.

I had a loose dipstick seal, and the solution was to buy a brand new dipstick. Car used no oil, had excellent compression, no problems, but the car had been sitting a lot, and the dipstick seal shrunk and hardened. Doggone thing would just pop out. New dipstick and I never gave it another thought.
Other seals on that car were tired as well, including the front main seal, which was quite brittle.
