It seems to me that one factor in determining who gets him next should be what Leroy needs next. For example, I do not have time or facilities to rebuild the torque tube, so I should not be a candidate for the next owner. That should be done by someone that can fix the torque tube. If it's ever my turn, I would do stuff like tires, carpet, hatch cup, maybe even some of the smaller mechanical items I could take to my wrench.

I don't think the TT is that big of a deal. Given a rebuilt TT would be there when you start, and a few people to help, it could get done within a weekend or a long weekend. Facilities to do so is another matter.

Precisely. There is no "there" there.

Precisely, exactly, where is there no "there" there?

He said, "Given a rebuilt TT would be there when you start". There is no "there" for the TT to be at, since I live in a condo where the neighbors would throw a fit if any real work was done on a car on premises. Best I could do is have the TT shipped to my mechanic.

Hmm, I hear there's a place where I could rent a bay/lift. So maybe in a pinch.

Sorry, I thought you were poking fun at BC.

On the bright side, nobody can say he just takes stuff off of cars any more, sounds like he made some real improvements.

Rob, seems to me that my house is close to the halfway point between SD and SB. If the timing works out I could host a TT R&R party, as long as there's no welding /un-welding involved in dropping the exhaust.

Throw in an AC party and I'm there.

I recall the A/C working when Mark was driving Leeroy around to get it registered. If it's just o-rings and a charge, we can handle that as long as the system has been evacuated. I have a sufficient collection of HNBR o-rings.

I'm talking about my own AC

It was a joke though, if there's work needed on Leroy and I can contribute I'll do my best to be there.

No. It comes off in all of about 10 minutes.

We can do it in SD as well, I would just need to make sure it was organized and I put the windows in the 78 so it could sit outside temporarily.

Its all up in the air - I just wanted to update this... update and make sure Leeroy stayed in the eyes and hearts of the public.

A WYAIT for the TT job would be transmission mounts.

The AC actually works. But it DOES leak - but I am not sure from where. It leaks over a large period of time. It would need to be properly evacuated, dryer replaced and new R12 put in after the seals that are leaking are replaced to be perfect.

Mark and the group seem to have facilitated a new compressor with a custom arangement on the bracket, as well as new lines from the compressor. I am unsure as to what else was done.

Lets not be negative however. This is a 31 year old car which has the driver's side seat STILL WORKING when you push it forward to get to the rear seat - it moves automatically. WHOS CAR still does THAT?!!

OKay, well, obviously the seven 928s... No eight 928s I have owned simply were not the average.

Lets move on class.
