Have you given any more thought to the air filter system?

And my 928 project is to rebuild the transmission in my son's 928...the only remaining mechanical thing that I haven't already rebuilt or replaced....and yes, it was stupid to not have done it when the entire car was apart, but since we had never driven the car, I had hoped that the transmission might have been good.

The transmission is actually good...as long as you don't need to downshift into either 1st or 2nd gear....
I agree with you about what Hans has done.
Sucks about the trans though.

This weekend were having an Intake Refresh Party including replacing the injector seals & spark plugs, all under the hood vac lines & rubber hoses, oil filler & water bridge gaskets, intake & plenum prep & paint (silver), new OEM rubber intake boots, heater valve replace, Nicole's 928 Shark hoodliner, jumper my interior light delay relay and some other odds & ends...

Hmmmmmm... come to think of it, this may take slightly longer than the weekend Should be allot of fun!!!

yes , the intake,,,,hmmmm .....I am working on carbon fiber what Mr Simard sent me and then will make some changes to a second mold I will make. He was very generous to allow me to make cf copies of his prototype . and then the creation begins.

Im just happy to keep it on the road and having fun. No plans - just maintain and make it better very slowly. I believe that the slightest improvement makes mine better.

What? Santa hid one set of Greg Brown headers in a corner and then snuck them out for ceramic coating? Dear me, what shall I do with them?

Rocket launcher for the hatch release.
Nice, but I still don't know where you got it.

updated plans.

just got a used set of MSDS headers. so forgo the suspension bushing replacement this year on the DE 911 and do more on shark. 911 parts should be coming back, had fuel lines rebuilt. I have all the other work done other that. Hope I can remember how to put everything back together.

928 plans now: headers/new exhaust, shocks, MM, oil pan gasket, fuel pump/filter/strainer/hose.

now my big question is how to plan the rest of the exhaust from the headers back. may post a separate thread if I cannot find a previous thread that covers this for a US '84/16v. easy solution is just combine into a single exhaust with a magnaflow 2in-1out muffler where the CAT goes, and single 3" all the way back. from other threads, read a lot about X pipes and really 'tuning' the exhaust for 32V cars. so far have not found a thread that suggests the most effective way to do that and a full dual on the 16V cars.

and if my funds do not run out, have Paul Champagne redo my steering wheel.
