Default 84 928 euro cold start problems

Car is 84 928 euro 5.0l a/t
Quick run down of problem. Cold/ nights mornings car sometimes wont start. Let it sit next day when its warm starts up and runs fine. Always starts when warm. Last night it started and shut right off wouldn't restart was cold then today it's warm and it starts after two tries. Was thinking maybe clogged fuel filter or fuel pump, but after doing a little research a thermo time switch seems to sound like the problem until I read that the 84 euro doesn't have one. Again always starts when warm plugs are new brand new caps and rotors and once started car runs great.
Thanks

yep, temp II for the euro. Nice post / picture^^^^

Its a 4.7 liter, BTW, unless your engine has been reconstructed with a 32V 5.0 liter block combined with Euro S heads. (which has apparently been done before)

Yea thanks guys after a little more searching temp sensor II sounds like a good starting point. Also gonna check f/p relay and ign relay in the morn.

As for my car being 4.7 or 5.0 the tag on the door states its a 5.0L so I gotta due more research.

Okay guys need some more help. Changed the tempII made a mess cause i didn't let car cool completly down and spayed coolant everywhere. Rinsed myself and car down with hose changed the sensor and car starts right up. Notice that the kuhl w light was on which it wasn't before. Think that might have been from the coolant lost. Shut car down now it's good and warm and go to restart it again to make sure it's all good and now the check light is flashing with ignition on and oelstand light is flashing too which wasn't happening before. Is the kuhl w light coolant? oelstand isn't that check oil light. So confused must have got something wet or got a temp II with the other side bad now.

Oh yeah if someone can check which engine i have my vin is wpozzz92zes841479 Thanks

I will check and top both but I don't see how either would cause the car to not start. With the oil light and ! light flashing now with ignition on did I short something out. It's so weird that it started right up ran for like ten mins then no start and flashing lights.

I did not see where you said the car would not start, possible you got the distributer or wires wet.

Yeah i re read and stupidly didn't put that it didn't start up again Duh. I could have gotten the wires wet the cap and rotors are brand new, but why would it initially start when everything was WET and run for ten mins then I shut her down and just cranking with the ! and oelstand light flashing which it wasn't before and no start?

Maybe the CE panel got wet when you were hosing off the engine, if the cowl drain is blocked with debris and the blower gasket is shot, check for water under the glove box area.

There is a 14 pin connector on the right front of the engine compartment, mounted to the side of the car, just under the hood line. Did it, or the harness across the front of the engine, get wet? The oil pressure and oil level signals are conducted through it.

Yeah thanks guys I'm gonna check the ce panel and that 14 pin connector in front. I let it dry out all turkey day. I could jump the two wires that go to temp II sensor to rule that out as being a bad new sensor? I thought the multimeter my neighbor had ohms but it doesn't so I cant really test it. Also I posted the vin a few posts up if someone could check if my car really has a 5.0 32v.

Is the elex connection the 14 pin connector at the front right of the engine bay? I jumped the tempII sensor wires, and also pulled up the passenger side carpet to check the ce panel for signs of water. With the tempII wires jumped still no start, and i found no obvious signs of the ce panel being wet either. I didn't go through the ce panel extensivly as it was getting dark, but it seems dry all around. One other thing i noticed was when i first start cranking her over the tach jumps to 2500-3000 for like the first second which i don't remember happening before I changed the tempII.
