The funky headlights are one of the things I like about the 928.

you can always get another set of headlight covers and paint them a different color to contrast my 86 green car has black bulbs they look good as the black seems to reflect the surroundings when they are up

Here in The Netherland is a Strosek for sale with "different headlights".

Asking price is € 3999,00. It's a June 1978 model with little under 100,000 Km's.

The GTS is in for paint and we pretty much smoothed out the look of the car with all of the delete action that is taking place. We just wanted to hear feedback to see how everyone else felt about this very important subject. Looks like it's a big fat "NO" Headlights stay, seems almost everyone loves them and so do we. Thanks for your support. T

IIRC, the federal standard is ~22" off the ground to the center of the headlamp, which is approx. the highest point in the fender opening.

I always wanted to put 993 headlights into the 928 housing and alter them to fit and work at the angle that they sit at in the 993.

So i dont think ill ever get around to doing that, so ill pass that onto you to try out.

I think you need something there to break up all the mass of the hood and tops of the fenders. Round lighting is iconic porsche and I wouldnt change that, but I would love to alter the round lamps themselves and the 993 lights always seemed more interesting than the 928 lamps
