Thanks for your interest.
It is reality now!
You do NOT need a computer persistently.
The computer is just for tuning and diagnostic. To use this system, you plug out your old ECU, plug in the new one and drive away, thats it!. It comes with a good basic fuel map, so a computer isnt even necessary in the beginning, the basic tuning is good enough for most situations.

It is available for all S4 models, and theoretically it will work with any car that works with the LH ECU.
For the US S3 models the connector must be adapted for the 35 pin connector. As far as I understand that is just connecting the pins, the ECU works in the same way.
The revised version that I am busy with has pinouts for the 25 pin connector also, so that will be a plug in unit also, no mods necessary.
Pricing depends on when the order is put in, at the moment it is USD300 + shipping. The price is basically just the components, PCB and assembly costs, Im doing this for the love of the 928, not for money
I already have three orders waiting for the current prototype unit. If I get at least two orders more then I will make a batch, I can only make a batch with at least 5 orders.
The revised unit will be about USD50 more, it has some more components on it.
Any more information you can ask here or PM me. I can take orders via PM. If youre interested let me know, if i get enough interest then I will push the development of the revised unit a bit more, not much needs to be done.
If youre interested post here and let me know.

My phone is slow loading this thread, but I wanted to ask of this has the capabilities similar to the Sharktuner.
EDIT: Just saw a post above, #212, that the new ECU comes basic tuned, but gives the ability to tune yourself like an ST.

Being late to the party, can you explain what benefits this unit will have over the OEM unit if its working properly?
Or is this mostly for someone with an old underperforming ECU?
Thx

Shartuner: This ECU does not use a sharktuner, you dont need any additional equipment such as sharktuner to tune it. It comes with a USB interface and you can adjust everything on the ECU. It gives the same adjustment and more than the sharktuner.
You are able to tune the fuel mapping with a *lot* more accuracy (100rpm and MAR0.3V intervals) and it gives full real time readouts, so you can imagine that it has its own sharktuner built in.
If your stock ECU works, and you are happy, and do not plan/need to adjust/tune/monitor anything then you will not probably not see any benefits besides slightly better fuel consumption and in some cases slightly better performance.
If on the other hand, you want to tune your engine easily, tinker/tune with it, need more features such as supporting higher RPM than stock, or want to add custom sensors/MAF/MAP or if you want more accurate injection timings then you will see an advantage over the stock unit.
To the layman, you will not notice a difference. To the people who tune their maps you will definitely see an advantage.
Also if your ECU fails, then you will of course see a major difference The only serious problem with the stock ECU is that you never know when your hybrid circuit will fail, and they will fail at some point, its not something that the owner can influence, so if you switch to this replacement ECU you dont have to worry.

No, this is unfortunately not a PCB copy of the original, this is a compete redesign with newer technology so the Porken(or any other) chip will not work.
Theoretically you should get the same performance, if you(or someone who will share the mapping) spend enough time on the dyno and adjust the fuel map with enough care. This ECU gives you more felxibility and more accurate injecto timings, so with proper effort you should get the best performance from your engine that any ECU/Chip can give.
Or alternatively if you have a "super awesome magic" fuel map for the stock ECU then I can translate it into the new ECU for you.

From reading all posts - you are not touching the EZK. When are you going to turn your attention to it? At the moment it feels a bit like going to Rome and not visiting the Vatican... Please, keep up the good work!

I apologize if this was covered already sine I haven't read every post.
Is there the possibility to swap out and re-map with a different "off the shelf" MAF with this computer?
