Around 625, depends on what you call complete, but its around 200 lbs more than the LSx aluminum headed motors.

Rob. You are forgetting the weight of all the horses stored in there.

625 sounds heavy to me but I have never weighed one. I think I will when I pull mine out in the next few weeks.
now . . How many fish scales would that be?

Someone posts the weight of everything in a gts engine to within 2 grams and you're questioning which weight is right?

probably a good choice.

Chances are Rob could even produce a reciept from Mettler showing calibration within the last 6 months, plus an independent 3rd party audit showing photographs of the calibration sticker on the scale and an entry initialed by the auditor and supervisor showing compliance, plus a note on bank letterhead declaring he had paid both entities and a xerox of the cancelled checks.

I'm thinking your good, +/- a quarter % or so.

Then again, Mike has proven consistent at 1-liners that encompass strategy, practicality and humor, along with some very wise detailed conclusions. He's liable to surprise us with the Roadway document showing the wet weight of the engine in a crate within 10 lbs of his figure. Its not over yet....

You left out the valve cover gaskets, so your number is obviously way low.

Yeah, I'm sure I left out a bunch of little things, and there's always the question of which/how many of the accessories and their brackets should count. But I'd guess 530-540 is a reasonable ballpark. There's a limit even to my OCD...
