I cant be the only one with this viewpoint -I was once quoted in excess of $350 to ship a part costing less than $150, a $500 bill, guess what? i got the dimensions and fabricated the part myself instead.

To me, part of the fun of the 928 is doing as much of the work myself as i can, and whilst i could quite easily remove every hose and measure the internal and external diameters, its fairly likely that someone will have already made the measurements and hence the simple question. If others choose to simply pick up the phone and order parts/accessories well thats up to them, and good on them i say, each to their own, but i (or others like me) shouldnt be denied the opportunity to ask questions simply because someone might be selling a particular product. Take the switch panels for example - what a great idea! and wel worth the money, others may choose to stick with the standard switches, and others still may be inspired and choose to replacate their own ****ch panels -should they be denied the opportunity because someone is selling a switch panel on this forum? i think not.

I do, and will continue to support vendors where appropriate but i reserve the right not to where i believe it does not represent good value. Something i believe is everyone's right.
apologies, rant over
I think you are correct. I happily support the vendors, but there is no reason to refrain from distributing helpful information.

I can verify that the fuel injection line to injectors is 5/16" (do they stock imperial sizes in the UK?) on my 82.

The vacuum lines are a variety of diameters. I also do no know which you will need for your 85 Euro. There are a variety of measurements people have taken, and they never seem to agree entirely.
It seems the reports on the smaller lines range from 2.5mm to 3.5mm. For part of mine I used 5/32" and put a tight ziptie on the connection to keep it tight.
They larger lines I will have to check my order to see what worked.

Comments on kits:

I think this may be the kit to which BWMac refers. It sounds like you will get everything you need - but for a price.

Really just a generic kit - but will cover some of your lines.
Roger's Kit
Regular vacuum hose if you prefer.

Hose:
Verocious Motorsports Silicone Vacuum Hose (Amazon Order Link)
This is where I ordered most of mine. For me they had the best price per foot for small orders. I will also say that this is not thin hose. I was very impressed by the apparent quality and thickness of the sidewalls. Of course that cuts down on flexibility some.

I'm sorry that I don't know anything specific to the UK for you.

Edit: Here's the fixed link for F18Rep: http://www.kinsler.com/072707/Cat31_...LR_CanCopy.pdf

Yes you are right ETHER;

Since it is out in the open I will explain.
I bought this kit because. Fuel Rail and Line Kit
1-It gives me the most commen lines that I wanted.
2-They are the steel braided like I wanted (though not the colored)
3-I can see what I am ordering.
4-They support any future upgrades (large bore fuel rail)
5-Everything comes in standard thread or to quote the web site
Each rail is equipped with -6AN fittings at each end.
or
that the fuel rails can be purchased with or without the custom fuel lines. This is so 16v owners can buy the rails and make their own hold-downs and lines. The bare rails will come tapped at each end for NPT fittings. If ordering the complete 32v kit with lines, everything you need is supplied as shown.

I ordered the kit as shown and should not have to worry about those metric ends anymore. I hope this helps and BTW, say Brad said to ask for a discount

This is helpful. Have inherited the results of this thread, plus a bag of trial fittings.

When the Lines and rails show up, I will post the pictures and let everyone know how and if they fit. (all details)
Yesturday the rails were still being bored so they are not on there way yet.
I expect them and the lines in 2-3 weeks.

Actually Brad,
It looks like I was incorrect. I thought you were referring to a vacuum line kit from HiPerformance.

I have looked at the 928 motorsports fuel line kit though - it looks great. I hope you enjoy it.

In the pic of those braided lines, the top two with the silver ends have way too many adapters on the one side. Isn't there a way to make it with less connections?
