The guy riding in the backseat is pretty skinny, not really the type to complain either....additionally, we're heading out before dawn, I think stuffing one or two pillows back there he's gonna sleep a good bit of it anyway....either way, it'll be an adventure, which is why i bought the car in the first place....a buddy of him once fit four adults in a 356 coupe and drove to vegas, he said it was the best trip he's ever taken.

For what its worth, when I bought my 1982 928 back in Feb 2010. I drove her from San Fransico, Ca. all the home to San Antonio Tx. When it was time to fill up I just put in the good stuff 93 octane, no additives or stuff like that. Made it home safely with out any issues. Mind you when I bought her she had 212k miles on her.

Actually, its running stronger now.

I'd like to add 1200 miles to mine in 10 hours....

Take an advil or something before you start, you won't be as stiff at the end of the drive.

I always wear earplugs on long drives, too. Cuts the tire and wind noise, no matter which car you're driving you feel better at the end of the day.

Forget earplugs. Bose noise canceling headphones. Listen to your ipod. When done with music you still have a silent cabin.

You guys are wimps

Just get into the car and drive.
I have done over 14 hours straight other than stopping for fuel with no issues.
Forget the earplugs, and noise cancelling headphones.
