They will fit.

For later cars (86.5 onwards) the offset is the minimum generally regarded as acceptable - and will eliminate the negative scrub radius of the later suspension (10mm from memory)- higher offset would be ideal. I have ET55 fronts on one of my S4's and they're noticeably less stable than the correct ET65 fronts I have on another S4.

Early cars have a little more leeway on offset as they have a higher negative scrub radius (16mm from memory) than the S4-style control arms - so on them ET55 still provides some negative scrub radius.

Either way they'll fit, altho' depending on what rubber he puts on the front, they may rub at full lock.

Hilton is right. They will fit.

I have Cup II with 55 offset - no issues

I am running those. Had to roll the inner lip front fenders a bit so the outside shoulders wouldn't rub in the turns, and the inside shoulders rub the chassis a bit at full lock. In other words... perfect fit. Running 225/45/17's.

I've heard the replicas are much heavier than the genuine Porsche ones.

But your wallet ends up lighter at the end if you get the Porsche ones, too.

If they are anything like the replica twists, much heavier is an understatement. They are a $hitload heavier than the forged manoles.
