Default A few more pics

The 1st Annual 3rd Coast Spring Fling ended today and all had a great time. I think we had 10 928's which was a super start. Will definitely do this again next Spring. Stopped by Goliad on the way home after the Texas Mile and took a few pics. Chuck & Andy, Thank you for the compliments. T

Very nice, Tony. Looks great in your pictures, and I'll bet it looks even better in person.

You really have to see this car and color in person to see how nice a job the paint shop did. They had a great attention to detail on everything.

Tom,
I'll answer that - no blacked out rectangle in the center top (where the 3rd brake light is mounted). By removing that brake light and mounting a thin 3rd light at the top, you have a much more open view through the rear view mirror (I think Jim Mayzurk was the first to do this). Much cleaner look - in my opinion.

Gary's got it right (as usual). Would be nice to have a unubstructed view when looking in the rearview mirror, especailly for us tall types. Would also like to add a 1' wide LED hidden strip for the 3rd brake light similar to what Jim M did. Thank you for the compliments Jarrod & Alex. T

Jim's LED strip for 3rd brake light is way cool ... as are his painted bumper pads. In fact, his whole car is outstanding!

I really, really like what Jim has done to his GTS. Finally got to take a better look at it this past weekend at the Spring Fling, and was very impressed by his tastefully done mods. Also would like to thank Herman for helping me out with more than a few electrical gremlins, and getting "Just Beachy" ready for it's Spring Fling debut. Herman does appear happier the closer he gets to these 928's ! T

Tony,

You must have found a car wash on the way to Goliad. Your car looked awesome at TX mile in person, even with a layer of dust. Even though not a stock color, it works and looks like a color Porsche should have offered. I looked closely at the sun roof delete, thinking I'd be able to see some trace of the work done but there was none, it was perfect!

Don shuttled 4 of us down from near the starting line down to the finish line at the Texas Mile on Sunday. When the 4 of us got out, some guy parked in a Porsche 996 was amazed when he saw 4 adults crawl out of Don's 928. On the way back to the finish line, we had 5 adults pile in and I think that 996 guy would have been even more amazed ! Thanks again for the free shuttle Don, and glad you liked the GTS. T

After 16 years of owning the car, that was a first! We drove slow past lots of spectators and there were lots of laughs and pointing at us. Should have gotten a picture.

That car is magnificent. I love the color. In the pics, it looks close to my minerva blue metallic.
I'm also glad you decided to stick with the GTS engine, keeping it a pure-bred Porsche (I haven't followed your other thread, so did not know where that ended up).

Great car, it's in its own class like only a few others on here.
