I looked at the cap this morning when I went out to work on the car. There are no numbers referencing the plug/distributor connections that I see anywhere on the cap. Was this perhaps something done post '85 (year of my car)? Maybe I am just missing something but still need to figure out the correct connection. Again, this is the side with the number 8 cyl. Right side as you face the car.

posting the year of the car makes a difference on what type of ignition system is used
PJG posted a great little piece of info you should be able to figure things out from that.
Note the cap that JF posted is missing its black grounding cover,
this part must be fitted to assure errant ignition pulses are not sent to other parts or the OP
