FS: REBUILT AUTO TRANS
We now have three rebuilt auto transmissions sitting on the shelf, complete with torque converters - NO CORE REQUIRED - so you can keep the tranny you have, sell it or ship it to us for rebuilding. Prices are as follows:
1986 A28-07 - 2.20 - $1,750 with core / $2,050 without core
1988 A28-12 - 2.20 - $2,150 with core / $2,450 without core
1989 A28-16 - 2.54 - $2,250 with core / $2,550 without core
The 86 tranny was installed in a car that had TBF within about 500 miles of install. It was removed, inspected, had new fluids installed and discounted.

That sucks to have been the owner who just replaced a transmission and 500 miles later the engine is KAPUT!

The guy I bought the 86.5 from rebuilt the transmission by recommendation of a 911 mechanic that concluded that the engine was running correctly and it was the transmission causing all the sympoms of TBF.... Poor dude.
