Failed TEXAS Emission Inspection = now passed emission test today

My '87 S4 and '93 GTS have never had a problem passing the IM240 (roller) test in the Phoenix AZ metro area. The tests have always been done in D - I know because I sit in the car while the test is done.

ACETONE
specifically 4oz/ 10 gal 0f 100% petrol.
High HC's are due to rich burn or un-atomized petrol,
High Nox is due to high combustion chamber temps and most of the time due to ign. timing advance.
Check timing and add acetone, you will pass. I've done it many times on a few vehicles and alot of carbeurated bikes that can't atomize the HC's unlike fuel injected bikes. A clogged injector will fail you easily.

Doesn't add any octane chains. It is a polar solvent that alleviates the surface tension of the non-polar HC chains (petrol) guaranteeing complete atomization and O2 contact in the combustion chamber. 2nd it is a fuel with it's own oxygen molecule attached. It is basically turbo charged propane if you look at the molecule structure. I use 3oz acetone per 10 gal of petrol on every vehicle I own, at the conc. of (1/640) it will not harm any fuel lines synthetic or rubber. Some guys in Colorado at the higher elevations add even more acetone to the mix to offset the atmospheric oxygen lost, the higher you go.
