Default OB Seat cover replacement

My OB seats are looking pretty bad, so I decided to replace them with a kit available on eBay.

Here are the before pics:

I've been looking at these ebay cover sellers. I think there are at least two. Please post which one you bought from and your impression of the quality. I'll be interested to see your results.

So far I am really liking the kit. It seems to be pretty solid, and is going on very nice.

I'm watching with interest. Looks good so far. How does the feel and thickness compare to the factory.

How was that job Tim? I can't wait to see it finished! You already did the carpet in that car so with the seats done too it will be looking VERY NICE! What does that kit cost and are the available in leather or vinyl...probably should just hit the link... doh...

The original seats were leather, this kit is vinyl, so the thickness is slightly different, and the color is darker.

I will keep adding pictures to the first three posts as I upload them.

I sent an email to these guys a little while back asking if they could do my S4 sports in leather. This is what I heard back. I thought this was very interesting. I think they do have a rear seat kit also, but I don't know much about it.

Thanks for your interest in our products. This listing is for the 78-84 928 and not for your 1988 928. The 85-95 928 front seats came in 2 versions: Standard and Sport. To know the difference, standard is approx. 5" across at the base of the backrest side panel and Sport is Approx. 7".

We do not yet have patterns for either. If you are willing to send your originals (all pieces) we will pattern from them and make you a kit. Our pricing for Standard in Vinyl is $300 and Sport is $335, For full Leather Face w/matching vinyl sides/back add $250. We offer a 50% discount if you send us your originals to pattern. Feel free to email or call to discuss: info@seatzmfg.com 800-235-8974 Regards, Bryan

Wow, very nice improvement.

Wonder if we have an extra set of seats to send them. I'm sure there are a few around here.

I was given a price of $220 for the rears using the vinyl a few months back.

FYI, I bought a yard (54" wide) of the bulk vinyl from them, Cork 359 special ordered, to redo my doors. Think it was $34 delivered to the door.

Looks good Tim. Difintely doing that to mine. Will you have it done in time for 3rd Coast?

Do you have pictures and an explanation for the install process?
