Default German Auto Dismantlers

Hi,
In January 2010 I ordered some used spare parts for a G28-55 gearbox from the company German Auto Dismantlers.
Describtion and partno where correct.
Porsche Ring Gear And Pinion Shaft G28.55 - [Used]{5} 928.302.911.64

In February I got the package (Sweden) opened it and found that they sent an
axle for the older type of gearbox with the syncromesh rings = it dont fit.

I called the company and they promised to fix this.
They still havent fixed anything and they dont answer my e-mail , I have sent 3.

Do anybody know if German Auto Dismantlers is a company to thrust ?

I hope you filed a complain with your credit card long time ago... If not, do it now - hopefully they will be able to get your money back.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear you are another one caught by them. And yes, it is definitely a company to THRUST, definitely not trust though.

It will not help you with your current problem but 928 International is a very trustworthy source for used parts (new too).

I'm having a horrible problem with them right now.
Joe is full of lies.
They have bull**** me from day 1, have screamed at me over the phone, and have not delivered.
I am filing a complaint against them with the BBB.

HORRIBLE, JUST HORRIBLE.

IMO filing a complaint with BBB is pretty much a waste of time in most cases. Worth doing for certain to possibly warn others but don't expect the BBB to solve the problem. If you paid by CC or PayPal file a complaint with them.....most of the scoffaw's ignore BBB regarding complaints IME.

I had the same issue with a group in Austin...I told them I was on my way to get the part...and they told me they would have it ready...after an 1hr long road trip...not only did they not have the part ready for delivery, but they didnt even have the part....

Unless that "Joe" across the phone can actually put his hand on it....or send you a picture of what you are buying...be careful.

The reason to file with the BBB is not so they can fix it - it's so it's on the record. For the next guy, who does his due diligence by looking up a company before buying. Paying it forward, sort of.

I use a CC even when I pay through PayPal.

One of my less than savory friends used to work for them. He kept trying to get me to buy from them, but I realized that when they hired him, it spoke volumes about their business. There are several other threads here about them and similar stories. I hope you have luck getting it resolved.

I have used German Auto Dismantlers once with good results. Ordered a used bumper shock, fuel filler flap, fuel tank boot, misc gaskets, etc - all was recieved as ordered. Shipping was delayed once, so it took an extra week for delivery. Only issue I have with them is that every time (about 3 times) I have emailed them a parts request for pieces off their lot cars, I got no reply.
