I suggest getting the car on a lift with it running and using a length of garden hose or a mechanic's stethoscope to track down the rattle. I agree door slamming ain't no good and hood and hatch slamming will keep gas strut people in the dough.

 

I tell ya, I'm havin a whole lot of fun driving it these last few days.

That's a good idea. I don't think I'll need a stethoscope though, it's pretty obvious when you shut it off. I never thought I would get a door slamming scolding from you guys I've learned my lesson.

 

I go from Chicago to Wisconsin virtually every weekend. Timing on Friday's is always a guess because getting out of the office depends on uncontrolled variables but I try my best to get ahead of traffic, if there ever is such a prospect in Chicago.

Sounds like you need to keep the car. a lot more reasons to keep it than to sell it.
