For Sale - 1988 S4
Selling my pride and joy.. We welcomed our first child and I just don't get to drive it as much..
The car is in excellent condition.. Everything works. It drives like a dream. I have no issues what so ever with the car. If you want a brilliant example of a 928, here you go. I wanted to offer up to you all first before putting on ebay.
Please email me at tsatterca (at) aol for price, questions or more pics. I'm in Dallas.. I've brought it to a few of the GTG's and Roger has seen and driven the car..
A few details.. its an LSD car, no rub strips.. Just hit 93K miles. Color is Felsengruen Green. I've had the flappy valve replaced, A/C converted to r-134. I have workshop manuals and service receipts and history. It comes with a extra set of front brake pads and the nice set of fender protector covers when working on the car.
Thanks
Travis

sweet car, but you gotta post a price.
And its an auto, by the bowden cable

Purdy car but as Stans says you need to post a price or else the mods will ulitmately shut down your post.

5 speed or auto? Original paint? A few more details and pics will do two things a) some commentary on the price (not always positive) and more eyes on the details that will help people like me who know of others who are looking for a very good condition 1987-1991 S4 5spd/Auto as well as GT.

First post says the PRND32 are not lighting up so this makes it an auto also verified by looking at the bowden cable connection on the throttle quadrant.
Hello all, I am a proud new member to the 928 community. I purchased my first 928 on Thursday from Darien in New Mexico. Drove it 10 hours home to Dallas. Loved every minute of it!!
Its a 88' S4 with 88k miles.. it has 89k now after the drive home. Here are some pics. I want to thank Darien and Roger for all their help. Roger for putting me in touch with Darien and Darien for keeping such a beautiful car in excellent condition. I plan to do the same. Also since I am a newbie, I will probably be firing away questions. So please be patient with me
Here comes the first few: I noticed there is no illumination at night for the window, sunroof, rear wiper switches.. Is that because there wasn't any, or are mine burned out? Same goes for the PRND.. Should they be lighting up at night?
My first items to service are
-TB/WP
-Tensioner - from reading forum sounds like the Porken is the way to go.
-High beam in driver headlight is out. so I think I can just replace bulb?
Outer belts
-Change Oil - Darien said PO used 20/50. I want to go to Mobile1 synthetic - will that be a problem? or should I stay with what has been used in past?
- shocks for hood and hatch - are these easy to find? autoparts store?
also, how do I determine options on the car. I know it has LSD and the color is unusual. But that is all I know.
Thanks in advance for the help!
Travis
