For Sale - 1988 S4
#17
Nice car and GLWS. I have a hunch you might be pricing it to keep your wife happy that the the car is technically "for sale," but not looking to actually sell it.
FWIW I actually bought my 928 BECAUSE I had twin daughters. Before that only having 2-seaters (Nissan Z cars for the past 20 years). You can easily fit a Graco snug-ride in the passenger side rear seat with the front seat all the way forward. And once they hit 20 lbs there are some nice choices for forward facing seats that give you range of movement in the front seats. You can also fit a stroller, diaper bag, and all the necessary baby crap in the back. The 928 makes a really good family hauler. So no need to really sell it unless you are just looking to move on or need to free up some $$.

Hey Chris,
yeah I tried that.. then the "oh it doesn't have airbags so its not as safe and we already have two car seats, we aren't buying a third" and all the other excuses you can imagine.. plus I have 3 other cars.. and she wants a 4 door... I hate to sell it but I just don't have time to enjoy it..

And what about the rear fenders that look like a bad roll job was done?
What kind of service history on this car?
What was done, and when and by whom?
That is serious money for a 88.

For that price, the car had better be PERFECT! All maintenance up to date and no running issues. Since this is an auto, a check/report of the crank end-play would also be in order.
IMHO, it does not look like an $18k car. The rear fender does look like it was rolled and got a "duck lip" in the process. The picture of the engine shows a dirty engine. Cam covers are dirty, cross bar and air filter housing are dirty too. No picture of the front seats or diver-side bolster, passenger-side, etc. SCREAMS that it has issues.
You're asking top-dollar, but presenting the car as though it may have issues. Ain't gonna happen.
