Looking for a shock replacement write up
I've done a couple of searches and haven't turned up anything.
So, who has a good shock replacement write up?

Tony's writeup is the way I do it:

One note - carefully observe the arrangement of the conical and flat washers on the rear pin. The second picture in Tony's guide is incorrect. The conical washers fit into cavities on either side of the hub carrier.

Check my previous post, it may help. I've done it this way for three additional cars and it takes me about 1 hour each side

Thanks Bill, I'll keep that in mind.
I usually keep a camera on hand when I dismantle stuff for the first time just incase the brain get a little foggy. I also talked to Bill Swift, I think we're going to do this together.

If you and Bill are doing this together and one of you is heading thru 'the' OC any time beforehand, you're more than welcome to borrow my spring compressor. It needs to be used!

Rob thanks for the offer. I know Bill has a good set of Craftsman spring compressors. I'll talk to him and see which ones he wants to use. It's going to be a couple of weeks before we do this.

I am still looking at doing mine soon as well. After asking some questions I have decided to go ahead and replace the tie rods, and ball joints, replacing the antiroll bar and upper A-arm bushings while I'm in there.
So, after buying the shocks and springs, I am waiting for my bank account to recover before getting the rest of the parts. In the meantime I am watching all suspension threads closely. Please take lots of pictures, and Good Luck.
