Default Porsche 928 Custom Cold Air Intake - w and w/o HVAC

All fabrication completed by Dan Warner - Exotic Motorwerks. (Phx)

I can definitely tell my track car has more juice .....it was worth the coin.

So you can swap and put it where you want it? Looks nice. What is the 2nd outlet in the fender, the smaller one?

The relocated coil - Dan punched two holes - One for the AI tubing and the other to remount the coil.

With my track car - the tubing is fixed - only way to install the cone.

For the street car - Its easier to run it drivers right to avoid relocating the PS pump.

Two very nice solutions. I especially like the thought put into the coil relocation.

For the HVAC delete, what about when it rains?

dont use much oil on the filter as it can be taken into the intake system ,
the NO HVAC system could also have the original cowl cover installed and the ends cut off either side .
The cover could go over the filter assembly to protect it from rain or car washes

So the positive jump post is now just hanging with the in-fender intake?

AEM makes a filter like the K&N but with synthetic filter material that requires no oil. Just wash periodically. I really like mine.

Drew - Looks great!

Tried to send you a pm, no luck there. How do I get in touch with you to find out more about local DE events and performance driving schools.

Now reside next door in Chandler.

Default Replies.

Giovanni - A metal lip was installed to have any water drainage pass the filter on both sides. (besides - it never rains in AZ lol)

Mr Merlin - I heard that. Dan used a very light amount of oil. I prefer dry synthetic filter such as AEM but Im ok with the KN. The HVAC cover will restrict the negative air flow coming down of the windshield. Best to just open it up to breath.

prantl - no - just the coil has been remounted.

BillBall - Yes - I run an AEM on my GT - love it.

on the street version every thing is mounted solid. nothing "floating". 10 hp on the dyno. for the nohvac version rain isn't a big issue in the desert.
