Default Got me some BIG Reds! Whoot Whoot!

Finally took the plunge... Thanks to Hans for parting with these.

Need refinishing, but they should clean up nicely.

Anyone know the the best deal on rotors?

I will start the bidding - I have cast hole Sebro for $169.95 per side.

They've been sprayed once before, but I'm pretty sure they are red from the factory - just full of brake dust.

Roger- That's an awesome price. Best I've seen elsewhere has been near $200 ea. Sold. Will call you one Monday to order.

Not sure about now but a few years ago I bought factory 964 turbo 3.6 rotors for about 160 each from Sunset. The 928GTS blanks were a bit more expensive.

964 Turbo calipers are circa $575 now.
928 Big Blacks are great value at circa $380 each

I recall that you need longer bolts to mount them....I was looing at where the boltheads covered the caliper and it looks black.. also get the paint off the crossover pipe and check the piston sizes for leading edge orientation....911 and 928 are upside down

The crossovers do need to be swapped. Those calipers were still in 993tt configuration (I last used them on my Audi).

Bolt should be a standard M12, and a lot cheaper at the hardware store than the Porsche dealer. I think I have a spare set that I can send you if you cant find some local.

Roger - great price on rotors.

Arrows point in direction of travel,

But its best to just make sure the bleeders are on the high side.

I knew the bleeders go on the hight side. And right now the arrows point to the bleeders. So if they are supposed to point in the direction of travel, cant you simply swap left for right and be done with it?

Oh, maybe piston size and location comes into play? 'Cause they look like you can swap them around.

Correct on the piston size leading edge of the pad gets small piston.....big at the trailing edge for more clamping. All the Brembos have different piston sizes like that.

Brad you will need to pull the calipers off and swap them side to side also transfer the crossover tube from tops to the bottoms
