Default Entering my car in employee car contest, any tips??

Next month is the employee car contest. No big prize, just bragging rights I guess. My car is pretty much the way it rolled off the line in '91, no mods, original rims, etc. Last year there was a Turbo Carrera, a nice vette, a few Mustangs (old and new), and my buddy has a tricked out Camaro SS just to give you an idea of the competition.

Any tips on how to impress the crowd? I was thinking of making a board with some 928 history and other facts. Also have the owners manual for people to look at. And maybe trying to get a hold of some advertising flyers or posters from the day. Anything on ebay for that??

Thanks!
Damon

ebay has lots of Porsche `foo` that would make great eye candy... however, nothing talks to the crowd like an absolutely spotless [eg, perform heart surgery in the wheel wells] car.

Let the boss win. Especially if you're the boss.

SUPER detail job and adding the various brochures from the day won't hurt either...a nice info board is always a good idea. If it does not look like a pro job don't bother. In other words, don't take a white board and a pen and put that in front of your car... If you want to take the time to do it like a pro then that will help...otherwise just the brochures under the wipers or in the back under the hatch would be good. Clean, clean, clean is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING though!

Make your own window sticker with a price tag of $100k. But you won't get that raise you were hoping for.

Actually my sticker - made from the same thread - is always very popular. But I pegged my original cost at around 80k. I made a sub-part with all my mods and investment that always attracts some interest. The total spooked my wife a bit.

But I kept my parking place. Nyah nyah Andrew.

Hire Kibort to stand by the car and tell racing stories about the 928.

For a bonus, make him wear his American Gladiator outfit, I hear from a good source he still has it....
