Extra oil thrown up under the piston aids piston cooling, but also adds oil to the cylinder walls that needs to be scraped off. If the factory started seeing complaints about oil consumprion, or even "reports" of it from the early cars, they would have abandoned the feature. That's my speculation. Pure speculation.

Ok, in preparation, you should start doing the following exercises:

1. Do some squats and knee bends. This will help you get in and out of your car when some d!ckwad parks so close that you can only open the door a crack.
2. Practice craning your neck left and right as far as you can because every time you park the car and start walking away you'll look back just to watch it as you walk away. This will make your wife jealous, so you'll have to figure out how to do it quickly and furtively after a while, like stealing a look at a pretty woman when you're out with the wife.
3. Start working on your list of excuses to go out to the garage to just sit in it. Maybe you can be checking the headlight fluid or monitoring the oil consumption because you heard 'bad things' about these squirter blocks.
4. Practice the 'stone face' so people don't think you're an idiot because of the silly grin you have on your face the WHOLE TIME you're driving it.
