Default Andy Keel injector seal base

Guys, I am rebuilding the M112 SC to put install a new coupler and bearings. Two of the rubber seals on the fuel injectors are cracked. Where can I get these? Its the ones that sits on the manifold and that the injectors goes thru them. I can post pix if needed.

I think Andy sourced them from McMaster.com but I don't know what they're called...

Gio,

Check with Pizza. He made some replacement aluminum ones that wont fail. The original part was a generic bushing from McMaster. I think the part number is posted somewhere on the massive twinscrew thread.

I put a set of aluminum ones on so I think I have some new rubber ones availble. I can check tonight and if I do will mail them tomorrow. Also, if you are interested I have an extra set of the aluminum ones and I don't need them.

The M-C catalogue is hard to use and harder to link to a specific product. The correct grommet is a press fit on page 3748. Measure existing and pick the appropriate one. Others complained about them hardening and cracking like yours did. Mine stayed fine, but I installed some alternate aluminim o-ringed seals too. I think I got them from Rick in Ohio or they could have been from Ralph. Anyway, I would recommend getting the the aluminum ones from Ralph. If not, I should have some of the spare rubber ones, although they are cheap from M-C.

I also have Pizza's aluminum ones. Just bear in mind there is a reason why OEMs do not have such bushings and use rubber o-rings instead. With Pizza's bushings, a large part of the surface area of the injector is in permanent contact with the metal bushing, which in turn is in contact with the intake manifold. This means that the injector clicking when firing is much much louder.

Oh. I really hadn't noticed the injectors being louder.

Gio,

I think I have a few spare rubber ones still. I can look when I get back home on Friday. Happy to send them to you.

I also have a set of the metal ones from Pizza, but have yet to install them. I think it'll happen this winter.
