Filling Trim Holes
Today i was able to use lead free body solder to fill the rear quarter panel holes. but, my brain failed to figure that the solder would not bond to the aluminum on the doors or front fenders. should i have the aluminum holes welded, or have any of you had good luck with any type of body filler to fill the holes?

What about aluminum brazing? This looks like it might work...

I have heard that is great stuff, in fact picked some up from a freind of mine for just such purpose. But I was woundering when I remove my fugly fedralized side makers, if I should try to fill the holes completlty with this, or should I try to put a piece of thin alumminum behinde the larger holes( were the wire harness comes through) first.

if this works like the lead-free stuff i used, a backer just keeps it from falling in the hole. but from what i see, this stuff will not drip like that. but wow, i need to sand WAY away from the hole. paint burns.... :-P
