I never liked "Magnum P.I." anyway. Too much sensitive manliness for me. Loved his 928, though... wasn't it red?

What did I miss, is there a car for sale or not? I'm in the market for another 928 and happen to be upstate NY this weekend. Not that I want a car owned by Tom but if it's in good condition...

OP hasn't returned for more punishment yet, but Afshin is offering his 90 all leathery GT in this thread. https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ion-codes.html

Whats funny is Tom Selleck really wanted the show to have a 928...but the producers insisted on a convertible or targa...so the 308 won....

How do I know....well I heard it here PLUS my sister dated the son of the producer of Magnum PI who told me the same thing before I even owned a 928.....the same lucky guy who lived in Oahu during filming and his dad would pick him up from school in "Robin 1"....

I’m guessing the OP has no idea what he walked into without knowing the history.

Todd is a guy that used to sell a few 928’s and talked big about a whole bunch of others. He often got into heated disputes with many members here and ultimately was asked to leave. You word selection and online mannerisms brought back less than favorable memories for some around here.

Your first post looks like the beginning of one of Todd’s posts, but you need to add about 90% more work before it would be complete. Also, I think not too long ago… Todd may have been representing or trying to sell this exact car (or one just about like it).

Anyhow, that’s why you got this reaction from your post. We don't always eat our you around here. Welcome to Rennlist 928.

I'm 6'6" with a 36 inseam and I have a sunroof car. The seat is low and tilted, but I clear the roof just fine. Heck, it's the only sports car I can fit in.

Next time you're up in Denver for a meet, I'll swap my short for your long. I think your interior is black like mine.

Thanks for posting... very nice looking car!

Sort of an identity crisis here… still probably too nice to be a ‘real’ driver, but not really concours/collector either with modes and wear. The Tom Selleck history is interested, but not worth much.

My guess = reserve not met.

Regarding drivers vs not, brand managers must get a kick out of consumers that self-appoint to be caretakers of museum pieces. Drive it.

Manufacturers should pay a stipend or give a loaner car to guys that haul around and explain the museum pieces.

I'll take my Porsche loaner any day! Bring it on PCNA! I am caretaker of BLUE82 and it is well deserving of such care!
