Or was it supposed to be the 2010 928??

I'm so confused.
That image has been making the rounds for at least five years now.

Sunken rear lights, just like the original...
Watch all the people who complained about the 928 20 years ago buy them b/c they are "more comfortable" than a 911 style body...

If it really looks like that I would have to figure out how to get one. That car is beautiful. I think it will become a classic as soon as it's built. Just like our sharks

This is MUCH more likely to be what the front engine coupe will look like... It has hints of 911 and PanAm in it and nary a hint of 928... I prefer the concepts that actually DO hint at the 928, but Porsche is dedicated to the 911 and this is more likely what the car will look like. Expect the top model to exceed 600HP and expect its price to exceed $200k!

Sorry, a 2 door version of that pregnant 911 with a VW sourced / designed truck motor under the hood is not a 928.
The last time Porsche drop a VW engine under the hood they called it the 924.
Not to mention it's going to play 2nd fiddle to the 911, just like the rest of the family.
You can bet it will have the same nose as the Panamera / Cayenne which means the Aston will still win the looks catagory.

Since Porsche has given to OK to build the "918" superhybred, it proves that they have the design talent to produce a car worthy of taking the 928 legacy into the 21st century. Who knows if they ever will. One thing is it looks like the hybred will be badged as the "918".
If Porsche ever builds a car like the 928 again, and it's everything that the origional 928 was and more, I'll buy one.
