dont be sorry, just dont expect it to look very nice.
I am still hopefull the Panamera looks better then all suggestions and spy shots show it to be. I am still hopeful that all the pics that weve seen of it are totally fake sheetmetal, but i dont think thats the case.
I want to see the 4 door first, if its decent then maybe a 2 door could be nice. But so far as i can tell the panamera looks like crap. especially compared to the CLS, and the AM Rapide

You know I was reading an article in one of my car mags about the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and from just about every angle all I could think of was that if the 928 was still being built THAT is what it should look like! With a few Porsche styling cues of course, but over all that car is just GORGEOUS!

While PCF group was at the Nurburgring last weekend few of us saw Panamera prototype on the road near the track. It didn't appear to have any camouflage on it. I think it was as ugly as recent spy photos have shown. Too bad we didn't have camera ready.

My guess is that it will enhance the value of our cars. I believe that one reason the 911 varients continue to resell well (besides quality) is because new ones are still being made. That drives people to the product, and those that can't afford the new ones, still want one, and buy the used, thus uping the demand overall and the corresponding pricing. At least that's what I tell myself

You know, that actually looks kinda like some of the wagon versions of the 928 that have shown up here, more like the Ferry Porsche 75th birthday one. So from that, perhaps we can extrapolate what a 2-door fastback version might look like?

Finally I can say this. Re: the round Caymanesque lights in the front side grilles on the prototype in the photo: I HATE THEM. I want to smash them with a baseball bat. I hate them on the Cayman, and I hate them on that "928 wanabee" !! Ugh!! Get rid of them. *$#%&$*#$*$$%
Whew! Now I feel so relieved for getting that out.
And while we're I'm the subject, I think my 928 is a far more aesthetically pleasing and honest automotive form better suited for its purpose than that Panamera related "thing" that seeks to emulate trite 997 syling. Porsche needs new design staff to break free from the mindset the current models continue to display. The 996 was some kind of vomit from which the company has yet to recover. Trendiness uncharacteristic of Porsche.
Whew! Now I feel even more relieved.

I'm gonna have to take a zero on the Panamera. That thing is ugly. The other one in my original post looks awesome.
