UK importer might be only place who have ever seen those decals since SE was UK only model like 968 Sport some years later. Might be good idea to ask from them.

We do have 3D lettering that says "Kompressor" - the German word for supercharger.

I've search quite a bit in professional font libraries and not found a font that comes very close to the Porsche Turbo script. I think it is a graphic and not a font.

Well I've struggled today trying to get a photo of the Sport Logo taken from a point perpendicular to the surface and without reflections. I reckon the only way it is possible is to take it in the dark without a flash LOL. Here's the best effort so far - reduced to fit within the constraints of the forum. I'll try again tommorow perhaps with different lighting I hope.

Looks a bit too much like what you see on the hoods of late 90's Dodge Rams. The configuration of the cars is compelling but the idea of "Sport" on any 928 is redundant at best. G

Jon,

I think that will work. The reflections don't matter as much as the perspective and resolution. Let's try yousendit and I will see what I can come up with. My email is mark@theninesource.com. Thanks!

Roger: What color do you want? I'm a bit limited right now... have black, white, matte white, red, orange, riviera blue, metallic charcoal, lime green (I'm guessing this is the color you are looking for, right?), and navy blue. It might take me a few days, but I can probably have it cut by the weekend. Since moving my shop, I haven't setup the vinyl cutter.

To others: I'll work on getting a "supercharged" decal in the Porsche font soon. What length do you want?

Precisely. Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB) would be a great source of info. The SE (Sport Edition) was Britain's 'softer' version of the European Club Sport limiting production to only 42 units. These cars possessed upgrades such as black seats with red trim & pinstripes, engine upgrade, G28.55 gearbox, sound deadening material deleted, 50 Ah battery, Design 90 cast (Club Sport had forged rims) wheels, and more.

My understanding was that the "Sport" rear transfer/decal was applied directly on the cars at PCGB's facilities as part of their inspection process. Your best source of info would be to contact Michael Cotton, European Windows editor for PCA-Panorama magazine. Mr.Cotton worked for PCGB during this era and may have inormation to share with you on the subject.

Mark,
I will contact the owner and see what he is looking for if we make one. He has a red car so black looks like the colour as per the red car above.

Vilhuer & Andy,
You may be right as the part is nowhere in PET even when using the SE VIN in the part filter.

Was there an option code for the SE?

Thanks to all for the help.
Roger

I need to buy me an SE - what an awesome car.

Design 90 rims didn't exist at the time. SE had same CS rims as real CS and '89 GT did next year.

At least some SE had G28.12 as did some CS also.

Phil (H2PMR) could you check the gearbox number on your SE ? Its on the underside of the box on the rearmost fat rib where the diff cover bolts to the box.
