I'll be there helping my local PCA pals park cars in the corral. I'm gonna try the valet thing and see if anyone leaves me with their car.... hehe!

JL, can I get into the flag room? I just bought the track and paddock pass for the day.

If not, I have a friend at V.P. Racing. At least I know where they are located. We could meet there at noon for lunch, etc. They will have a large tent about 100 yards in from paddock gate, on the left with a blue and white Mack tractor.

Bill, I don't believe you'll be able to get into the flag room without passes. I can definitely track down the VP Racing tent. I'll spend most of Friday wandering the paddock. I'll PM my cell number to you.

I'm in SoCal visiting friends & family this weekend on the tail end of a pair of seminars for work... so close, yet so far. Have fun boys, and post some pics!

I'll be at the Concorso Italiano, most likely the races on Friday, and Pebble Beach on Sunday - should be a great bunch of events. If you see a Graphite Metalic '87 S4, that will be me.

I'll be at the races on Friday/Saturday, then Pebble on Sunday. It was pop's 65th birthday this year and he's a huge Jaguar nut. The mark of the year at Pebble is Jag, so we're going all out.

I will be there on Sunday, but I will not be in the 928 (hitching a ride with friends in a Nissan Maxima)

Well, for those there on Saturday, let's meet at the VP Racing tent at noon for lunch and I'll plan an after-race pizza get together unless any of the locals have a different suggestion.

With all the corrals I have seen before, you have to signup way in advance. Just checked - registration closed August 6.

BTW, for those who decided they want to go last minute, you can get tickets at Ticketmaster online (for Will Call) or directly at one of their retail ticket offices. I'm sure you'll be able to get tickets at the gate too, but advance tickets is probably faster/safer.

Envious of all you who are attending the Historic Races, Concorso Italiano, and Pebble Beach (tour/concours). My wife and I, along with another couple from here have attended these events twice over the past 5-6 years. A GREAT weekend for auto enthusiasts. Phil Hill was honored at the last Historics we attended. Saw him there, but saw him a lot more at the Goodwood Festival of Speed I was able to attend in the late '90's. Stood beside him and Jim Hall and one of the Chapparal's (Phil in driver's seat, Jim sitting on the edge of the car) as they discussed the car's handling in the hill climb that day. SO many famous drivers at that event that it was hard to keep track of who you saw! IF you ever have an opportunity to attend Goodwood, DON'T miss it.
