Default Sharks in the Bluegrass Event Oct. 15, 16, 17

Hello all,

I'm going to have a 928 event here in Georgetown, Kentucky Oct. 15, 16, 17.
Had a really nice time last year, along with a shrimp boil.... We also had some excellent Kentucky Burgoo that Robert McDowell made, and we will likely have it as the main course this year.... It'd be nice if attendees would bring a side or beverage..... To those who don't know, I'm near I-75 exit 129.... Address is 384 Sims Pike Georgetown, Ky. 40324.
As we did last year, everyone is welcome to stay here either indoors or camping out..... Bring a towel and shower here too.... There are several hotels nearby if that is your preference...... Last year Dave and Jeannie, and Bobby and Melinda, brought their campers, and of course that is an option too.... We'll have campfires at night and just enjoy each others company....
My shop will be available for anyone who wants to do some 928 tinkering.....
I thought perhaps Friday night we'd all go out to eat, then Saturday we'll go for a drive and then pig-out here later..... Really open to anything you'd enjoy doing.... Suggestions are welcomed....
Just come on up, down, or over, and make yourselves at home....
I'll post updates occasionally as well as entertain questions, comments, or concerns...

Peace,

stew with beef, pork, lamb, rabbit, veggies, fancy is boneless......kinda like what ever you have in a pot meat braised quickly then cooked low and slow. The diced potatoes help make the gravy. Needs a nice hearty bread for dipping.

Should this thread be a sticky?

Had a great time last year. Planning on going this year too. Here are some pics from last year's event.

Greg, and one of his Unimogs.

A family event!

Greg was describing how big his Johnson-rod is to Rita!

The Shirmp we had! Yum!

A little Moonshine never hurt anyone.

Oh yeah... there were some cool cars there too.

Greg's other Unimog

Bonfire!

Can't wait!

We are 100% sure we are going to be there.

I also nominate Burgoo to be the menu. That stuff was so good last year Robert had to pack me some to go.

We have been looking forward to this one all year!

If anyone goes down early and is looking for something ‘automotive’ to do Friday afternoon… I highly recommend a tour of the Toyota plant in Georgetown, KY.

http://www.toyotageorgetown.com/tour.asp

It’s pretty fascinating seeing a car built from the ground up. The tours are via a tram with a guide explaining all the steps (minus the paint process)… Learn all about Kanbans

It’s free, but reservations are highly recommended.
