I have a step-daughter in Flagstaff AZ who is in the process of buying a Fiat 124 spider for her brother in CO. The leading candidate at the present time is a very well taken care of 1980 model in the SF Bay area. For a lot of reasons, neither of them will be able to get the car and drive it to Flagstaff, so she has asked me to help with recommended "quality" transporters for this relatively small car.
I'd appreciate any comments from those who've had cars transported within the past year or so. It's not a long haul, but the car appears to be in perfect cosmetic condition, and she wants to keep it that way.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It's been more than a year, but I used Reliable enclosed transport. My former employer also used them almost exclusively. Very professional - but not the cheapest.

I used Reliable Carriers in February 2010 from Phoenix to Kansas City. Reliable provided great communication and the driver called me several times on the trip just to keep me posted.

DeMoise, is who S4Ordie and I both used fairly recently...pretty affordable and can't complain w/ the job. Two years ago I used FedEx Passport for BUE82 from Seattle to Austin...They were fine too...

I used Thomas Sunday when I had my 1933 Franklin Olympic shipped from PA to CA a while back. Excellent service & good people to work with. My car went into the enclosed trailer first & was not moved again until it was unloaded in CA a week later. Around $1,500 door to door.
They're based in PA, but ship nationwide, so they're always looking for cars for the return trip. They advertise in Panorama.

Bill will answer the phone and will help with all your questions. Tell him Dan and James recommended you. I found their pricing to be very competitive as well.
I like the 124. Hope it is rust and electrical gremlin free.

Angels Transport for the GTS last summer and the 84 from DC to San Antonio the summer before that. Excellent contact throughout shipping, picked up and delivered when promised. Very careful drivers while loading/unloading. I'd use them again.

Couldn't get a ride with Intercity, so I used Horseless Carriage twice between MA and FL. Arrived on time, in excellent shape (enclosed), with good communication from the driver. About $1500 - $1600. I would use them, or Intercity, again if needed.

Fedex was excellent for my tranposrt from FL to NY. As you might imagine, not the cheapest, but very professional, and driver gave me his cell and said to call anytime I had a question - I never bothered him, but it was nice to know I could check his status if I wanted.
