thats a great deal for a 4.7 bore job to a 5 liter. no real other mods.
just bore, re-ring, re-bearing and you are good to go. or better yet, just get a 5 liter block with nothing in it for $500, and probably safer that way.

Or cut larger valve reliefs and build a high compression S4.

Is that something thats doable on a 4.7?

Do you simply bore it out and do some type of hand polishing on the alusil block?

I only ask because someone asked me about something on a 5L, they needed a block but had a bunch of US 16V engines, they may have been 4.7 blocks but I didnt think you could bore them out for reasonable money.

I do have the S3 block but I was thinking of just holding onto it if i ever wanted to bore that out

Whats a bare S3 block worth?

How high would the compression be?

I think this is what another RL member did on his GT

Aren't the S3 Rods some of the strongest ?
