Trans cooler lines 2
Here are the hoses after I had them built, while not Greg Brown quality, they are far better than a hose clamp.
My cost on the five ends was 197.50
An OE end
the rebuilt ones from the TT area.

I am not making a dime on these hoses, just gas and labor to install them.
how much did you pay per hose? did they come with new anti chafe and heat sleeve?
But your right, 40 per hose is a bit high, but not that much for the quality of the work IMHO.

It was near $50 for a pair of hoses. That's new hose and 4 collets done.
Oh yeah... No reinforcement or sleeves. Still effective and much less costly then new factory pieces. What does an oil cooler set go for? $200!

Greg I did try the Pirtek in Norcross, GA first, but they said after making up the first line they didn't want to do any more. I ask them for a suggestion on who might and the person I was dealing with was kind of short and said he was just leaving the shop; just not the most helpful bunch! By the way the line they made up, even with the old one to go by, was to long. It was the short stubby line between the lower radiator and hard line.
I have since found Wizard Automotive and have had good luck with them.

Update:
The car is back in my shop with a cooler line leak, it looks like it is coming out of the hose itself, not at the crimp.
Not good.
I am going to see the guy that made the hose for his thoughts on this in the AM.
Not happy about that at all.

Check to make sure the rack to pump line is not close to the headers.

I had all my cooler hoses (engine and g'box) rebuilt by a big outlet locally (customer of where I work), and they made 3 of the 4 too long - enough so the hose parts started to kink, and I had to have them fixed. When I looked up the cost of the genuine engine oil lines, the saving was minimal, so again it pays to check genuine prices before going elsewhere.

Greg, please let us know what you find out! Just went out and looked at mine again and they appear to be dry. One left to do that I was going to send to Wiz. Auto.

possibly used SAE crimping tools to crimp to a metric diameter and crushed the hard line, bummer
