It's Riviera blue and I have that calendar month framed and hanging in my garage in front of the '92! I have been looking for THAT CAR (and according to Chuck there are 2 or 3 more of them from '94 alone, I was guessing this was a '95 as Riv blue was a standard color only in '95, AFAIK) for more than a DECADE! From the plate you can tell that car is registered (at the time of the pic) in Stuttgart!

Mexico blue is to new... Riv blue was an actual factory color right around that time. Could be a custom color too, but I am guessing it is simply Riviera blue.

BTW, I like Mexico blue as well. I think Arrow blue (see my race car below and my avatar to the left) is my fav, but I would need to see a Maritime blue right next to Arrow and Riviera to be sure...

It's maritime blue, there's a local 968 here in that color.

Matt,

I can tell you that Maritime and Riviera are SO CLOSE and computer monitors are SO BAD there is no way to tell unless there were two cars next to each other. Also, that is a '94 or '95 GTS and Maritime was not a "regular" color in either of those year, but Riviera was...I would bet you your 928 that it is NOT Maritime blue.

Here are some of my absolute favs!

We KNOW the 968 Cab is Riviera blue (I PM'ed back and forth w/ the owner).

We know the 997 is Maritime (again, the owner said it was).

We know the TT Cab is Mexico...

We are NOT positive about the 928's and since the pics were not taken at the same time as ANY of the other cars it is VERY tough to make comparisons...

Clearly the GTS's are NOT Maritime...could be Mexico or Riviera, they are also not Arrow blue as you can see on my race car is a shade or two darker.

Matt, I LOVE Maritime... I have been looking for Euro '92/'93's in Maritime and Euro '95's in Riviera as I said for over a decade! I have YET to see ANY for sale. I have seen pics over the years so I know they are out there and just the other day Chuck posted a pic of one I had not seen and indicated that he has seen the ROW '94 data and reports there are several Riv '94's of all things! I'd take ANY of them!

The local 968 in maritime blue is a looker. There was a discussion on the 968 board when it was purchased, IIRC only around 10-11 968 in that color, worldwide. So, I could imagine a GTS in that color would be as rare as they come, maybe 1 or 2 at best.

Matt,

I agree...I have never even seen a pic of one in that color... As noted we have seen several of the Riv GTS's, but never even a pic or a hint of a Maritime! I saw that color on a '92/'93 color chart and was like, "THAT IS IT...that's the color." No one has been able to tell me if one was ever built in that color though.
