Most guys on this forum wax daily but I have seen many red Porsches, BMWs, and others over 5 years old with very faded red. At that point it looks terrible. Hopefully a metallic with a clearcoat performs better. I do love the new red metallic.

The original paint on these is single stage. Often a forlorn oxidized car can be polished to look fantastic and hold the look for years.

I personally like all stock colors. I have my favorites but the 928 is so beautiful that a nice paint job just brings the lines out. Hey I painted my blue with a silver stripe. I drive it daily and get a couple comments every day how beautiful it looks. Is it the color or the car, I believe it to be the car!

Red looks orange in most for sale pictures. Most people do not want an orange car.

I loved the red on my 87 Golf. It seemed to be red/black. It looked sinister when cleaned up. Guards Red looks oxidized and orange to me.
