Thanks again to all.

I do love Guards Red more so than the Fly Red in F-cars (though I really like those too). I guess my eye does not see the orange tone in it like I do in the BMW red for example.

I can appreciate the fading issue and do keep the car under cover at all times when not being driven (which is less than 500 miles a year).

I also try and maintain the paint well. Not Afshin caliber I'm sure but nice nonetheless.

Lastly, as I mentioned in my original post, the lines on this car are such that it looks phenomenal in any well kept color.

My running gear is well maintained, it just looks slow.
A man after my own heart. I've always liked Q ships. (The interior needs to be nice, it's the part I see and live in.)

Reds are cop magnets, imo. The next time you're on a road with a long view look at the oncoming traffic with an eye to which colors stand out, and from how far. White cars have the same problem.

Velvet red works for me, though. _Much_ more discreet. Elegant. Most others seem to shout, like bling.

I think red looks damn good on a 928. What I did discover in my search is that the wife doesn't like the burgundy interior color on many non-red 928s...

Good think I went with Grand Prix White and my favorite beer color for interior...black & tan ;-)

My wife has seven warnings and zero tickets in MA. One warning for driving the one way street the wrong way and six warnings for speeding. Yes, D cups.

Some things are more important than color.

I like my red car. I believe it was the only red 928 at the Finnish 928 meeting few years ago....ofcourse there were only maybe 10 or so 928's, but I think that is a lot in our scale...?

But if I would have to do a complete re-spray, it would definitely be white. But I think Guards red is the next best choice.

On the other hand my friend have silver car and that looks good too.

My opinion is that a sports cars should have simple colors. I'm not so much of a fan for exciting rare metallic color 928's.....

If you think about it, red is the most desirable color because there are more red ones than any other color. By the same token, red is the least desirable because it’s the most common color. It’s all a matter of how you look at it.
