Default UPDATE any interest in stroker track car. needs a block

throwing this out there to see if there might be interest. this is don hansons race car that i bought a couple of years ago. after much work, we found that it needs a block (small cracks in the vee into the water jacket. cumbustion chambers are fine.) it has virtually no time on the internals. heads/valves are new. b1 cams, itb intake, motec, etc, etc.
i don't have the time or the desire to commit to fixing it.
i'm willing to discuss with anyone interested. if no iinterest i will likely (sadly) part it.
pm , email, or post here

UPDATE
Will sell the chassis minus engine, exhaust and motec for $9500

That would have been nice!!! i could have just bolted on a brand new high end stroker block to this set up! oh well, stuck in the sub 400rwhp doldrums with all stock stuff.

MK: Heads/intake/ITB setup would test the gearbox in your car. Sounds like a perfect marriage, what Tom has to what you have. If a little is good, two big heads would have to be better.

WOW! What a car! Get that thing running again and it will be CRAZY FAST! Look at that ultra wide front track...

Kind of reminds me of this:

Nice... Don's racer. Man, that was a long time coming together back in the email list only days and Marc and Susan were going 209. Race, break, improve, repeat. And those flares are awesome. That's a great piece of 928 history.

good question. since it seems there is some interest, here's a list of what's (mostly) in it. maybe you guys can give me an idea of what it should be worth:

'90 gt chassis, stripped. no sunroof
custom bodywork, adjustable wing
polycarbonate (or lexan) windshield, quarters and hatch
double adjustable koni/hypercoils with custom shockmounts with heim joints.
custom rack bushings
big reds front, s4 fronts on the rear. abs delete
devek swaybar with reinforced mounts.
ott droplinks rear. weissach pinned
bumpsteer kit
kinesis 12x18 wheels
remote nascar style oil filter, mocal oil cooler, accusump with
remote filter adapter plate that's ported
full cage tied into dash support bar frame.
chassis has logbooks from scca, pca, poc, and nasa
sparco evo on sliders with seatback brace
momo wheel with push to talk
on board fire system
kevlar splitter
gt trans with cryoed gears and lsd.
trans cooler with tilton pump and mocal cooler with fan
22 gal atl fuel cell with 3 pumps (2 feeders, one main)
devek radiator
stock dash pod instruments
center console with oil temp, trans temp, water temp, oil pressure
custom engine cross brace ties into shock towers
lightweight starter
devek level 2 headers with custom exhaust
twin disc clutch

engine:
moldex crank, oliver rods, je pistons
ported heads with 968 valves
devek b-1 cams
52 mm individual throttle bodies with louie otts mounts
motec m48 with ignition expander, msd coils
made 597 rwhp and 500 rwtq prior to my purchase

the car would still need an airbox and some additional front aero to finish.

That is one helluva car.....

Sell it to Terry GT please.....

I wanna drive it

As to a price, that is hard to say. I know how much has gone into building it. But realistically I doubt that you will see more than $15k for it....

Thats a crying shame isnt it! but the market for racers, expecially obtuse ones, is pretty soft I would imagine.

what do they say, "want to make a race car to sell for $50k? better spend $100K)

he is not making any more than anderson and fan,was it before it was decommisioned? 500rwhp? I forgot what he last had in the car before he quit adn sold it. what I do know, is that he was only about a second faster than the ole holbert car. Hey, Fan is still using the stock gear box at 520rwhp!
