Francesco is right. If you look on eBay, there are a lot of vendors world-wide who will not ship to Italy - they have good reasons...

This post on Nichols' tips indicates Volvo 740 Turbo:
http://www.nichols.nu/tip706.htm
Google Image search shows there are only a couple of likely volvo part numbers for it. Pics on this page:
http://www.swedishautoparts.com/740/...s.html#linkbar
Part 1329428 or 1378657.
No idea on what the difference is, but I'd try the first part number initially as its the one used with the Auto transmission (which weighs more than a manual, and is bolted to the engine - so the mount is presumably designed for a higher load).

looks like PN 1378657 also used for the 760 Turbo and it should fit
the nub on the top surface gets removed.

We use 1378657.
We ship to Italy using USPS Priority Mail and rarely ever do customers get charged duty and taxes unless it has a very high value.
When we ship with DHL, FedEx or UPS charges are automatic plus brokerage.

Roger i ask my local import department about taxes i will pay if i get a pair of motor mounts from you.i go very often tjere as i export my furniture in usa, canada, russia....and import wood....if it is cheap i will be honoured to buy from the man who found out the way to save money for those parts labelled with a nonsense price at porsche dealership.anyway nichols.nu gave me the idea, then another forum pointed me to 1378657,also searched for tirbo diesel volvo of that time with a heavier engine just to cpmpare it....then found a 1:1 drawing and realized this is it.
I also found other cpmpatible stuff but i should test it before sayong it is a reliable swap...

Bart Jan asked a question and i now have more info to address his concerns
That is the the fingers touching after the mounts have been installed,
this is due to the mount being a bit taller than some of the previous versions,
and or the mount not settling as much as the earlier versions.
Here is how to fix it.
once the mounts are installed and you have aligned the fingers of the lower pads to the mount hooks,
(this can be done by tapping the finger pad with a screwdriver)
If the fingers are touching then it is easily fixed.
To do this you need a 1/2 inch drive extension and a 17MM socket and a jack.
the extension has to be about 6 inches long.
so put the socket and extension on the 17mm bolt thats next to the mount hook.
Put the jack under the extension and very carefully jack the extension onto the bolt,
this will lift the engine and the hook,
thus pulling the finger pad with it,.
NOTE.... WARNING .....you dont need much lift ,
you only need to see the finger move ever so slightly.
You can jack the car off the stands if your not careful.
If, after a few tries this still isnt enough,
get a drill bit or dowel and slide it between the finger and the mount hook,
then jack the socket extension,
this will easily bend the finger just enough to clear,
as the mounts settle in there will be more clearance.

I would think cold vs. hot engine, and torqueing of the engine under load could cause contact, where no contact is apparent when cold and engine off.
In my case, I can get a dental pick between the fingers and hooks in a cold static state, but not much else. I'm wondering if they are too close for comfort.

Brian if you follow the instructions aboove you can bend the lower finger slightly as the MMs wear the gap increasess, I figure that 2 to 3mm is sufficient for initial clearance

There's mention on here about the hooks on the base plate-to-crossmember and the engine-to-mount. Attached is a picture of my new mounts from Roger loosely installed on the crossmember.
Should the hooks grab each other (I cannot see how that would work with the increased height of the new mounts), or should the upper mount hook lie above the lower plate hook....but not touch as pictured here?
Also based on earlier posts, and were the hooks (fingers?) to capture each other, to gain clearance you would bend the finger on the lower plate, correct?

The hooks should hook together and will do once on the car. If they touch pry them apart slightly. They are for safety only in that if the mount ever sheared in a crash the hook holds the engine in place.

Well since I cant edit my first post,
I will add it here for fitment instructions and dealing with that finger on the locating plate.
To make the assembly fit better take the plate ,
put it in a vice then with a big hammer hit the finger a few times till it bends away from the opposite finger,
this will reduce the amount that the fingers press on each other till the weight of the engine is on them,
and it will also eliminate the need to use a jack to bend the finger after its installed.
NOTE you can use a rubber band to hold the finger plate to the mount while lifting things into position
