Intelligent use of an exemption for diesel powered vehicles from smog inspections? ![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
I love the question from Dave on the listing about the failure of the driveline when using the Mercedes straight six diesel.![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
Monty Pythonesque humour.

I was reading a question on the ad, someone asked if he had issues with the torque tube breaking and he said he upgraded to the S4 torque tube and brakes. Brakes in the pic are s brakes.
Nevertheless, interesting project, a lot of work wow! Car actually looks pretty good in the pics. I personally wouldn't pay 20G's for it though.

Here's the youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6wdxlIYizk
It's a really cool video.
In the video you'll see it's rated for 550 horsepower... Of course, as someone who doesn't have the experience of removing an engine I feel odd to say this, but for the trouble, I'd want more than 600 hp out of something like this!
Watch the video and and you'll see one reason we don't use turbines - it's friggin' loud!
My guess is he's an aircraft mechanic.
Ok- I've gone to his YouTube channel to try to find video of the car running. I'm convinced he no longer has an inner ear.

Yose missed my point. Besides the English gaffe (not everybody mis-uses it), I'm wondering if there is one particular component that "used to be new" or is it the entire vehicle? That is rhetorical -- either way, I can only say, DUH.

This jet car has made its way to the pages of Jalopnik. Theres even a poll at the end of the article asking if the price is nice or the owner needs to lay down the crack pipe. Check It Out Here
